Will I be a CEDR-Accredited Mediator after attending a training course?

Learn what is required to become CEDR-accredited.

The following courses enable participants to become a CEDR-Accredited Mediator:

  • Mediator Skills Training (5 days)
  • International Mediator Skills Training
  • Employment & Workplace Mediator Skills Training (with assessment)

How do I become accredited?

There is a two day assessment on day four and five, as part of the Mediator Skills Training and International Mediator Skills Training. You will be assessed by experienced mediators, who will provide 1-2-1 feedback. The assessment is role play based scenarios, using a variety of cases to challenge what you have learnt during the course.

When will I receive my results?

Results will be sent out to you within six weeks of completion of the course.

What happens if I fail my assessment?

Your course manager will advise on the next steps. We allow for one resit opportunity. Feedback is given throughout your course, so you have the chance to learn and practice in similar role play scenarios, this helps you prepare for your assessment. It is extremely important that you are familiarised with the details of each role play.
