Once you are accredited, you are free to market yourself at your leisure to develop your mediation practice.
The CEDR Accreditation is a professional qualification that is internationally recognised as being a gold standard of Mediator Skills Training.
Our course is registered with, and recognised by the Civil Mediation Council, the recognised authority for all matters related to non-family mediation in England and Wales. Along with some further requirements, CEDR Accreditation allows you to register with the Civil Mediation Council and be listed on their website.
As with any new start-up business, those seeking to practice mediation independently should ensure that they conduct thorough research, founding and managing their practice based on a sound business plan.
CEDR Accredited Mediators are also entitled to attend all four of our CEDR Mediator Professional Development Sessions in the year following their accreditation, free of charge.
These are 2-3 hour sessions run at the CEDR Offices in London and cover the following topics:
- Marketing yourself and your Mediation Practice
- Advanced Negotiation for Mediators
- Top Tips from Mediators
- Creative Use of Mediator Skills: Beyond a ‘day’ in Mediation
